Chris Kaczmarek is an artist whose work spans both traditional and experimental sculptural practices through a broad variety of mediums. His installations are often interactive and designed to guide the viewer towards a deeper contemplation about the environment they inhabit, and the passive and active roles the viewer plays in their interactions with their environment. Other works include sound scores for the stage, multi channel videos and hand made electronic instruments.
Chris Kaczmarek has received a BFA in Studio Art/Sculpture from Appalachian State University and both an MFA in Studio Art and an MA in Modern and Contemporary Art History from Purchase College,
