“The Eye of the Beholder” Opens at Rotunda Gallery May 14th

The New Rochelle Council on the Arts’ Rotunda Gallery presents “The Eye of the Beholder,” an exhibit of whimsical works by Ruchama Schecter and Joel Trieger, opening on Tuesday, May 14th  at the NRCA Rotunda Gallery at New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801.  A reception will be held on Tuesday, May 14 from 5pm to 7pm at the gallery; join us for light refreshments and music by Charles Hipser. The exhibit runs through July 9th.  The Rotunda Gallery is wheel chair accessible.

Ruchama Schecter and Joel Trieger are Westchester artists who have exhibited their whimiscal artwork at shows in New Rochelle, Yonkers, Pelham, Mamaroneck, Larchmont, Manhattan and Paris, France.  Ruchama and Joel have worked in many mediums including sculpture, mixed media, collage, painting, illustration and printmaking, at times together and other times separately.  The artists have used their artistic voices to create art that is thought-provoking, humorous and satirical.  Schechter and Trieger’s collaborations in ceramic teapots are mind-blowing and worthy of collecting.  All artwork is for sale.
