Summer Sounds Concert Series Adds Two Dates
Summer is going to last a little longer this year – at least at Hudson Park! The New Rochelle Council on the Arts has added two “rain date” makeup concerts to the Summer Sounds Concert Series: Live music will continue at the Hudson Park band shell with The Fabulous Acchords on Wednesday, August 28th and salsa night featuring Edgar Suarez and Manny’s Boogaloi Crew on Friday, August 30th. Food trucks for both nights will be Taqueria del Valle and Wing King.
The Summer Sounds Concert Series has been rocking the park all summer, featuring an eclectic lineup of bands and food trucks, but unusually rainy weather led to several cancelled concerts. The decision was made to add two dates to accommodate three of the groups; others who were rained out will be invited to perform during ArtsFest.
The Summer Sounds concert series is presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, in partnership with the New Rochelle Dept. of Parks and Recreation, and is co-sponsored by the City of New Rochelle, Montefiore New Rochelle, Friends of the Parks, The Pawfect Brew, Terri and Alvin Bowles, Andrew Francella/ Velosaty, RXR and Town House Kitchen + Drinks.

Hudson Park is located at 1 Hudson Park Road in New Rochelle; parking is available at the marina for $5 per car, but there is no charge for those with a Park Passport, New Rochelle Parks & Recreation’s photo identification card.
