Westchester Oratorio Society, Benjamin Niemczyk, Artistic Director, begins rehearsals in January (in person and with a Zoom option) for the spring portion of its 24th season featuring an April 30 performance of J.S. Bach’s “Mass in G minor”, BWV 235 with G.F. Händel’s “O Come, Let Us Sing” HWV 253 and “Sing Unto God” from “Judas Maccabaeus,” HWV 63, and J. Brahms, “Geistliches Lied” Op. 30 accompanied by professional soloists and orchestra.
Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 7 PM to 9:15 PM at the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco. Because of the constantly changing nature of the pandemic singers will be offered an option to attend rehearsals remotely via Zoom. Those attending in person will be required to show proof of fall vaccination and wear masks in accordance with Federal and State law, local regulations and CDC guidelines. Rehearsals have been moved into the Church Sanctuary allowing for greater social distancing.
Competent singers in all voice parts are welcome. Potential new singers are invited to attend an open rehearsal on January 25. For more information on joining or about the upcoming spring season email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the group’s website at www.westchesteroratorio.org.
