New Leadership at The Rye Arts Center with a Familiar Face
The Board of Directors of The Rye Arts Center is pleased to announce Adam Levi as the new Executive Director.
Mr. Levi, formerly the Senior Director of The Rye Arts Center, has deep roots with the arts organization where he has worked for 20 years in a variety of roles, including Art School Director, Media Arts Director, instructor, graphic designer, marketing, and development. During his tenure, Adam developed many innovative arts programs, including the award-winning STEAM program, the first of its kind in Westchester. The relationships Mr. Levi has built with artists and instructors have been crucial to The Rye Arts Center’s growth and allowed The Rye Arts Center to serve as a resource to many communities. During this pandemic, Adam guided the organization’s online efforts as it pivoted to virtual classes and lessons.
The new Executive Director shared:
“I am honored for this opportunity. During my two decades at The Rye Arts Center I’ve seen first hand just how important our programs are for our students and visitors. The needs and interests of the communities we serve will remain at the heart of every step forward that The Rye Arts Center takes.”
The previous Executive Director, Meg Rodriguez, resigned after five years at the helm of The Rye Arts Center to pursue another passion, real estate with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in Westchester, NY and Greenwich, CT. During her time as Executive Director, Ms. Rodriguez put her indelible mark on the organization, building partnerships, establishing The Rye Arts Center Public Art Initiative, expanding the scholarship program and guiding the organization in expanding its reach and service to the region. Meg significantly advanced The Rye Arts Center’s mission and leaves a very strong legacy behind.
“The Rye Arts Center has an incredible staff, talented instructors, a dedicated Board, and a generous and supportive community. I am so proud of the work we’ve done together. Adam has been a driving force for progress at The Rye Arts Center for many years and I am excited for the future of the organization under his leadership.”, Rodriguez shared.
The Board of Directors created a search committee and worked with an outside consultant to determine that Levi, with his long track-record of commitment to and success at The Rye Arts Center, was the perfect candidate for the position.
Board President Rob Weber said, “The Board recognizes the tremendous impact Meg has had on our community in her time at The RAC. Her leadership, vision and initiative allowed us to accomplish so much during her tenure. We wish her well in the next phase of her career. We are also very fortunate to have a natural successor in Adam. Over the past twenty years, Adam has played a major role in nearly every program at The Rye Arts Center. We are excited for the future of the organization under Adam’s leadership.”
