Come and experience the history of Lyndhurst Mansion, explore Victorian mourning lore, and learn about the darker side of the Gilded Age in the glow of an October evening; Lyndhurst After Dark! You will experience the house, decorated in the spirit of the season, and learn about the mystical superstitions of the age: phrenology, palmistry, spiritualism, crystal balls and séances with special items displayed that were owned by the actual occupants of the house!
The timed entry event lasts about 30 minutes. With check-in at the welcome center and parking, please anticipate the full event lasting 1 hour. Please present printed tickets or have them available on your smartphone to show to Welcome Center staff when checking in for your timed event. Not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
Refreshments will be available for purchase on-site from Geordanes of Irvington.
Snack items; Orange and black cookies and cider doughnuts. Hot and cold beverages; coffee, hot and cold cider.
All visitors must have a pre-purchased ticket to enter the Mansion. A limited number of tickets are available for each timed event and tickets do sell out. Purchase of a Lyndhurst After Dark ticket does not allow for Grounds Access during the day. Please check current Covid policy at lyndhurst.org/covid-19-protocol/
