“OZ on Stage” May 7, 2023 Paramount Hudson Valley 3:00 pm Sunday matinee
Calling ALL—— moms, Grandmothers, and Professional Women of all ages. You must come to the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill and bring your family, kids, boyfriend and husband to celebrate L. Frank Baum Week Born: May 15, 1856 New York ;

Who is He? Yes — Frank Baum is the writer of the Great American Myth “The Wizard of OZ”.
Why Peekskill? Frank came to the Peekskill Military Academy as a youth

and at a later age came back to Peekskill’s Palace Theater where he previewed and performed the musical production of “The Wizard of OZ”

He was an incredible storyteller who had a lot of important women in his life. He wrote about them and they supported his storytelling when women did not have a voice of their own.

Marcy B. Freedman writer of “Frank and the Women of OZ” will be telling the story of those women in a three-part multi- media showing. You will experience music, singing, dancing, and slide projections as well as one of his many OZ stories in action. Music will be with “Skin Against Metal” and Mary Sofianos will surprise all with an incredible movement honoring the many women in Frank’s Stories.

A special treat will be the Wiz Kidz 7yrs — 10yrs who will perform an original scene they wrote and developed based on and inspired by OZ.

Frank lives on today with other women and stories. Musicians and vocal guests will take you on the Yellow Brick Road—- where your Dreams can come True. To OZ —- On stage.
