Oratorio Society Says Farewell to Conductor with Spring Concert

In an evening of both celebration and nostalgia, the Westchester Oratorio Society (WOS) prepares to bid farewell to their esteemed conductor, Benjamin Niemczyk.

Niemczyk, after 20 years of dedicated leadership, bids adieu with a performance that features classics by Brahms and Mozart. The conductor, singer, composer and WOS Artistic Director is also a co-founder and former president of New Westchester Symphony Orchestra. He has performed with greats like Anthony Newman, Hélène Grimaud, Ennio Morricone, the Orchestra of St Luke’s and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra among others.

On May 4, music lovers will gather at the South Salem Presbyterian Church for the event, titled Glorious Spring: a Farewell to Our Conductor, Benjamin Niemczyk. The program will feature Brahms’s Liebeslieder Waltzes, Op. 52, and Schicksalslied, Op. 54 as well as Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.
