“Distant Lands” Exhibit
The exhibition “Distant Lands,” on view from May 23 to July 26, draws together works from a group of 21 artists, including Katherine Bradford, Marieken Cochius, Ada Pilar Cruz, Grace Knowlton, Tony Moore, Judy Pfaff, David Provan, Greg Slick, Kurt Steger, Don Voisine, Stephen Westfall, and others, presented across the spacious gallery and sculpture gardens. This exhibition explores the idea of “distant lands” as internal landscapes and how experience, memory, and imagination take form through material practice, across painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, printmaking, and site-specific works.
Also on the property for viewing is a large anagama-noborigama Japanese-style wood-fired kiln, where his large ceramic works are fired twice a year at communal events.
