MAG Fundraiser: Plein Air Fundraiser and Silent Auction

Watch Westchester painters create live outdoors June 5–6, and take home your favorite pieces at Saturday’s silent auction!

Larchmont, NY — The Mamaroneck Artists Guild (MAG) invites the community to experience art in motion at Local Artists – Local Scenes, a two-day plein air painting fundraiser on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6, culminating in a silent auction at BMW of Mamaroneck.

Local artists will paint outdoors across the Sound Shore—Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Larchmont, Rye, and surrounding areas—capturing the community in real time. Visitors can explore, watch the creative process, and discover unique works in progress. Artists are easy to spot, wearing bright green t-shirts marking their locations. A QR-coded map will guide attendees to each painting site. Attendees who find the most artists will win a prize!

The Mamaroneck Artists Guild (MAG) is a cooperative art gallery located in Larchmont, NY. Founded in 1953 with just seven members and incorporated in 1958, MAG has grown significantly over the decades. Today, the Guild includes a diverse membership of 2D and 3D artists and fine craftspeople from Westchester County and surrounding communities, including Connecticut and New York City.

 The Mamaroneck Artists’ Guild presents Solo Shows, Spotlight Shows (2–3 artists), and Members’ Group Shows. We also sponsor an annual high school exhibition, Young Artists on the Rise, and an Open Juried Small Works Show open to both members and non-members. In addition, MAG hosts artist talks, workshops, demonstrations, and professional development programs.

• 8:00-10:00 AM – Artist Registration at MAG Gallery (t-shirt pickup)
• Daytime – Plein air painting throughout the community

Saturday, June 6

• 8:00-10:00 AM – Artist Registration at MAG Gallery (t-shirt pickup)
• Daytime – Continued plein air painting
• 4:00 PM – Artwork drop-off at BMW of Mamaroneck, 236 W Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck
• 5:00–7:00 PM – Silent Auction, open to the public

The fundraiser concludes with a festive evening at BMW of Mamaroneck, where freshly completed artworks—created just hours earlier—will be available for purchase. Guests can enjoy food, drinks, and the opportunity to collect one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the beauty and energy of the local landscape.

This event is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and the joy of seeing familiar streets through an artist’s eye. Proceeds support MAG’s mission to foster community engagement in the arts and provide meaningful opportunities for local artists.
