For Immediate Release:

CALL FOR ARTISTS: Journeys

Upstream Gallery Annual Juried Small Works Show 2026 (Fees Apply)

“Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.” ~Twyla Tharp

To the public, an artist is known for a recognizable style. But for artists, the creative process is a journey, inspired often by a restless need to get beyond where they’ve been. For this show, we invite artists to submit pairs of small pieces demonstrating a process of change or how wide a net they are apt to cast in their search for ways to express a largely intuitive vision

Eligible work: U.S. National entries in all media are welcome including drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, non-photographic digital images and sculpture. The size limit is 20″ in any direction including the frame or base. All accepted works must be framed and wired for hanging. Sculptures must include their own base. Please note that photography is no longer eligible for this show. If you are a photographer, please submit your work to our upcoming photography show in February.

IMPORTANT DATES

Deadline for Entries: Wednesday December 3rd, 2025 by midnight.

Show Opens: Sunday January 4th, 2026

Artist Reception: Sunday, January 4th, 2026
