YOUTH THEATRE INTERACTIONS HOSTS ANNUAL JAZZ MIXER
Westcheter non-profit hosts jazz suiree to raise funds
Yonkers, NY –To honor the memory of co-founder James P. Hill, Youth Theatre Interactions (YTI) is hosting their annual fundraiser, Jimmy’s Jam on Thursday, November 3 from 6pm-9pm at their studio, located at 92 Main Street in Yonkers, NY.
During the event, local musicians accompanied by the band, King Solomon, will provide the soundtrack to an evening filled with live jazz music, lite fare, and spirits. In addition, attendees will be able to win a variety of prizes through silent auction and raffles featuring donations from local businesses. Tia Brandon, daughter of YTI co-founder Turhan Von Brandon, will MC the evening. Tickets are just $45 in advance and $65-75 at the door.
Jimmy’s Jam is a tradition that began more than two decades ago featuring celebrated jazz musicians and YTI co-founder, James P. Hill. With the help of Janet Langsam, of ArtsWestchester, Hill gathered his musician friends for a jam session. Since the inaugural gathering, the event has grown tremendously and provided much financial support to the organization. To honor Hill’s legacy and impact on the program, YTI continues the tradition more than 20 years later.
Youth Theatre Interactions, Inc. (YTI), a performing arts program located in Yonkers, NY is open to youth ages 3 -19 and offers classes in steel drums, drama, keyboards, and over 7 different forms of dance.
