Westchester Pride Festival 2019

CELEBRATE LGBT VISIBILITY AT WESTCHESTER PRIDE!

Festival Marks The 50th Anniversary of Stonewall with a Local WorldPride Event.

White Plains, NY – May 29th, 2019  The LOFT LGBT Community Center – In a time when the LGBT community must fight to protect the most basic of freedoms, visibility and community are more important than ever. June is LGBT Pride month, a period of marches and festivals which celebrate and amplify LGBT culture. 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the NYC Stonewall Uprising and, for the first time ever, New York City has been selected to host the global festival, WorldPride. Westchester Pride is proud to be designated an official WorldPride event.

On Sunday, June 2, 2019, from Noon to 5:00 pm, The LOFT LGBT Community Center, Westchester’s first and only LGBT center, will be holding its fifth annual Pride celebration, Westchester Pride 2019, in Downtown White Plains between Renaissance Plaza and Court Street. This family-friendly Pride festival is free to all, and all are welcome.  LOFT Pride gets bigger and better every year, and this year’s attendance is expected to exceed 3,000.  The event will be emceed by RuPaul’s Drag Race Contestant Yuhuaha Masaki. — plus the ever-popular and adorable Pet Pride Parade and Costume Contest, an Art of Runway Walking workshop, free activities such as a photo booth and face-painting, an array of vendors, and fourteen designated Pride Eateries.  LOFT Pride 2019’s presenting sponsor is TD Bank and the festival has been marked a “Meet Me in Westchester County, NY” Tourism Event. Join us before the festival for a Flag Raising at the Michaelian Office Building and afterward for a 21+ after party at Vintage Lounge & Restaurant.
