Westchester Chorale Delays May 2020 Concert

Due to the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic the Westchester Chorale has postponed their next performance to 2021. This concert, “Rhythms from the Pampas,” was originally scheduled for May 2020. It will feature music by two 20th century Argentine composers, Ariel Ramirez and Carlos Gustavino. We will provide an update here when we have a new date.

The program incorporates folk genres with Andean influences. The Ramirez piece, Misa Criolla, has not been heard in Westchester County since 1988, when it was performed by a previous iteration of the Westchester Chorale at Sarah Lawrence College. As the official chorus-in-residence at the Larchmont Avenue Church in the heart of Larchmont Village, the Chorale normally presents two choral concerts each year.
