Untermyer Performing Arts Council presents Barynya!

World-renowned Russian music, dance and song ensemble Barynya is the premier Russian folk ensemble outside of Russia. Barynya will present a selection of their traditional Russian, Cossack, Ukrainian, Jewish and Gypsy Roma dancing and songs at their performance at Untermyer Park. Besides performing at the ceremony for President George H. Bush’s presentation of the Liberty Medal to Mikhail Gorbachev, Barynya has performed in some of the most prestigious cultural venues in the United States, including Carnegie Hall, Philadelphia’s Constitution Hall, the Smithsonian and the United Nations.

Although our events are admission free, our audience is limited to fifty people and reservations are needed.  All audience members must wear masks at all times in the park, and bring chairs.  Seating is only in designated seating areas. To reserve your spot, call 914-375-3435 after 11 am on Tuesday, August 18th. Reservations are limited to four people per call, and will be allocated in the order they are received.  No one without a reservation will be admitted to the park, and all attendees will be checked in and temperature scanned.

In case of rain, we have no rain site.  Please call the Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s Arts Line, 914-375-3435, after 1 p.m. the day of the performance to confirm the program will go on.
