Friends of ArtsWestchester

FRIENDS Logo Lockup-01Friends of ArtsWestchester was  established in 2012  to build vital private support for the arts in the face of reduced government and corporate funding. Today, we enjoy a vibrant cultural community with diverse, engaging artists and arts organizations that can only be sustained through private support.  Please join this group of generous individuals committed to preserving and growing the arts in Westchester by becoming a “Friend of ArtsWestchester.”

Join the Friends of ArtsWestchester with an annual membership:

– Founding Friend $2,500
– Friend $1,000

Enjoy exclusive access to cultural experiences with other arts lovers throughout the year. Friends are invited to small private receptions at the homes of art collectors, previews of exhibitions, gallery talks by leading artists or curators, or a visit to an artistic site — in addition to all other membership benefits including our monthly publication ArtsNews, free admission to North American Reciprocal Museums (NARM), exhibition openings, and more.

The first of the 2017 Friends events is already scheduled:

Saturday, May 13th
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Buckhorn is the private home of contemporary art collectors. It houses a large collection of close to sixty outdoor sculptures by Richard Serra, Sol LeWitt, Joel Shapiro, Andy Goldsworthy, Ursula von Rydingsvard, Anish Kapoor, Olafur Eliason, Dan Graham, and others. The owners act as docents and share their relationships with both the artists and the works of art, adding a unique and personal dimension to the subject of collecting art.

Watch for the next exciting Friends event coming soon…
