ARDSLEY, DOBBS FERRY, HASTINGS-ON HUDSON, IRVINGTON, SLEEPY HOLLOW, TARRYTOWN AND YONKERS, NY:
Choreographer/Dancer Maxine Sherman and Composer/Videographer Steven Brent collaborate in this new work weaving dance, music, and layered imagery to create an innovative experience at the cutting edge of performance art and film.
Imprint of Light is a magical journey within the imagination, toward the illumination of the human spirit and its relationship to the 4 elements of the earth. Sometimes mesmerizing, hypnotic, and funny we all curiously travel to unknown places in the vehicle of our own body. We might land on familiar shores, but a mischievous impulse gives us a 360-degree view of new light.
There will be a Zoom broadcast of the video on Saturday, May 8th at 8 pm with a live Q&A session with both artists directly afterwards. A recording of the broadcast and Q&A will be available to view for the two weeks following the broadcast. Tickets to both the live broadcast and recording can be purchased at www.riverarts.org.

Having grown up in a household full of music and visual art, he has a deep understanding of the power of art to not only entertain but to express, in a very direct way, the reality of the world of Imagination. The combined power of music and video seems to him to be especially effective in this regard.
