The Ridge Hill Shopping Center in Yonkers, NY, in cooperation with ArtsWestchester, is seeking proposals from artists for a permanent mural spanning an exterior wall.
Proposals should be original in design with family-friendly, universal appeal. Artists are encouraged to explore the themes of transportation, movement, social interaction and the local community and to present these themes in a family-friendly and positive light.
Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and must live or maintain a studio address in the lower Hudson Valley region of New York, including NYC (all 5 boroughs), Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan Counties).
Honorarium: The artist stipend for this project is $5,000-$7,000 plus materials.
