Curriculum Focus

The ELA curriculum was supported as students worked to create a story and together and write a few sentence to contribute to the book.

Integrated Learning Standards:








Students Worked in the style of some favorite illustrators such as Ezra Jack Keats, Mo Willems, Patricia Polacco, Eric Carle to create an image that was incorporated into a photograph.  Students with their teacher and wrote one or two sentences of explanation.  The students work was compiled and a book of their work was created.



Social Goal

Students also worked well together, shared materials and communicated positively.

Developmental Goal


Developmental skills focused on was hand coordination, pen/pencil control, sensory development and motor skills developed and problem solving, discipline, self-esteem and self- expression, among other skills. Self –esteem and self expression were enhanced through the creative process.
