During this residency the participants learned to create beads using magazine clippings and fimo modeling clay. All the participants produced four necklaces and learned how to do knotting and symmetrical design using their handmade and manmade beads.
Developmental: The participants developed their fine motor skills and listening skills by using paper and fimo modeling clay, jewelry supplies to make necklaces and bracelets
The participants explored new media (make paper beads, fimo clay beads) and learn elements of design (symmetry, pattern, repetition. At the conclusion of the program, the seniors produced several hand-made jewelry pieces using different media.

This program helped build confidence in the consumers’ art-making abilities, increase socialization amongst the participants and provide positive feedback about each other’s art work.
