Organization Overview
SUMMIT MUSIC FESTIVAL celebrates its 20th season as New York's summer institute for extensive chamber music and instrumental training. Founded in 1991 by members of the highly regarded Emelin Trio, the festival offers young musicians a unique opportunity for pre-professional training.
The three-week festival brings together an international faculty of the highest caliber, representing the finest traditions of Europe, Asia, and the American continents. Each year, students from all over the world assemble for concentrated study with these pre-eminent artists. We offer an instrumental and chamber music program for high school, college, and young professionals (ages 14 and up). We also offer an adult program for the avocational musician. In addition, the Summit Music Festival features a daily array of special events, such as concerts, lectures, and master classes throughout the three-week music festival.
