Artist Statement
IMFA Pratt Institute. I received an undergraduate degree in Photography with a minor in Ceramics. After graduation I attended Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, N.Y. for a six month workshop and then enrolled as a graduate Printmaking student. (In NYC I worked as a gallery assistant in several Fifth Avenue galleries including LIGHT gallery, a photographic gallery.) Visual Studies was part of the Eastman House and SUNY Albany. Desiring a solid background in painting. I transferred to Pratt Institute where I received a Masters of Fine Arts in Painting and a minor in Jewelry Design. My work is now acrylic on canvas and photographs on printmaking paper...normal photographic size is 18" x 24". I teach painting and drawing in public school and began as an artist-in-residence with Learning to Read Through The Arts in 1984 in NYC.
