Artist Statement

Pepe Coronado was born in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic. Recently moved to New York after been on the faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Corcoran College of art and Georgetown University in Washington DC. MFA in Photo- Digital Media from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Previously Master printer at Pyramid Atlantic in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Hand Print Workshop International in Alexandria, Virginia, and the â??Serieâ?? Print Project in Austin, TX. Recent solo exhibitions in 2008 Obstrucciones at Georgetown University gallery 101 in Washington DC. And at Emos Eno Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. And recent group exhibitions as part of the Bronx Latin American Art Biennial, History and Memory curated by L. Stephenberg, A. Mendoza and M. Lescano. Gordon Parks Gallery. Bronx, NY.
