Artist Statement
Mia de Bethune was a film editor for ten years before moving to Westchester with her family and taking up painting. Her oil landscapes of the Hudson River Palisades have become highly coveted among collectors in the rivertowns. Newer collage work was recently on exhibit at the Pen & Brush, Inc. in NYC.
Educational Background
Mia holds a BFA in Film/Video from the Rhode Island School of Design and just received her Masters in art therapy from NYU. She has beed teaching art at The Children's Village, a residential school in Dobbs Ferry, NY and plans to continue working with adolescents in residential treatment.
