Marian Norman

I am a Visual Artist working in mixed media and photography. I use mixed media to create "dreamscapes", a type of inner landscape which captures the visual context of dreams while also interpreting a narrative theme. They are multi-layered artworks combining photographs, paint, drawing and collage. Each layer contributes its own character while synthesizing the image as a whole. I use digital photography to relate subjects ranging from figures to architecture to graffiti-covered urban streetscapes with a strong sense of color and composition. My artwork has been exhibited in both group and solo shows around New York. I live and work in Westchester County.
