Artist Statement

Linda paints non-objective works that focus on color, combining it with texture, form, and composition. This frees her to paint without being restricted by predetermined forms, images, or concepts. She uses various color combinations that resonate together and then finds a format for them. Her paintings include oils, mixed media, assemblage, geometric, and free form. Linda's paintings have been shown locally at such venues as Pen & Brush-New York, NY, Cork Gallery, Lincoln Center-New York, NY, Broome Street Gallery-New York, NY, Hun Gallery-New York, NY, Upstream Gallery-Dobbs Ferry, NY, Mamaroneck Artists' Guild-Larchmont, NY, Silvermine Guild Art Center-New Canaan, CT, Bendheim Gallery-Greenwich, CT, Edward Hopper House-Nyack, NY. Nationally her works have been shown at numerous art galleries, museums, and universities, including those in Richmond, VA, Tallahassee, FL, Minot, ND, Chicago, IL, Watkinsville, GA and Palm Springs, CA.  Recently, Linda exhibited internationally, as one of her works was shown in Seoul, Korea. Art affiliations include membership in Katonah Museum Artist Association, Scarsdale Art Association (juried in Artist Member), Art Society of Old Greenwich, Greenwich Art Society, Allied Artists of America, Westchester Arts Council, Greenwich Arts Council.
