Artist Statement

I was born in Switzerland. In Bern I attended the School Of Visual Arts. Work includes book illustrations, advertising, corporate identity, posters, trade- and museum exhibitions, murals, and postage stamps. Currently, I'm doing renderings, especially for school campuses, universities, libraries, and historic sites. Paintings, drawings and lithographs are in private and public collections. Exhibitions in Switzerland and New York. Design submission to The World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition. My wife and I live in White Plains. Our home and studio is a National Landmark, "The Nine Pines". Astonishing monuments were sculpted here; some of them are: "The Ulysses Grant Memorial" in Washington, DC, by Henry Shrady, "The 107th US Infantry Monument", New York City, by Karl Illava, "Valor" and "Sacrifice" equestrian group, Arlington Memorial Bridge, Washington, DC, by Leo Friedlander.
