KJ Denhert

"With frequent forays into the realms of jazz, funk and R&B, Denhert challenges the singer/songwriter barricade head on, budding a new genre she calls "urban folk and jazz."-Westchester Weekly.   KJ's been featured in the New York Times, opened concerts for the likes of Roberta Flack, and, as lead guitarist in an all-female rock quartet, once toured the world (in spandex).  She now leads a virtuoso funk/jazz band at the 55 Bar every other Saturday and plays to packed houses there.  Her wit and musicality are legendary; both really shine in her solo acoustic performances and when she is accompanied by her amazing band.
