Artist Statement

My art is focused on the process and how it was created. I use magazine paper shapes & strips as the color palette for my collages, primarily focused on faces. I layer each strip as if  I am "painting" with paper. I can pick and choose from a variety of colors and textures. Each paper strip represents now a "brushstroke."   I want my pieces to stand out, for people to stop and take a close look, is that painted? People are always amazed at the details that go into each collage.
