Artist Statement
IVY RIEKSTINS was born in Latvia and emigrated to the U.S. when she was seven. She attended public schools and received a BFA from Pratt Institute. After working in commercial art for two years she turned to painting which had been her focus. She is a member of The Mamaroneck Artists Guild, New Rochelle Art Assoc., ALMA, Fountain Gallery NYC, and NY Artists Equity. She has received many awards and is in numerous art collections.
