Artist Statement

My professional career really started in 1974 when I won first prize for sculpture at the all Westchester County Beaux Arts Final. I have worked in my own studio in my home since 1972 and still maintain it. Except for an occasional workshop working with a mododel or playing with ceramics, I rarely work with other artists. GALLERIES Previous: Antae Gallery, Denver, CO, The Bruton Street Gallery, London, England,    Northview Gallery, Dobbs Ferry, NY, Sandra Neustadter Gallery, Delray Beach, FL, Tutwiler Associates, Dania, FL, Steiner Gallery, Bal Harbour, FL, Ortega Art, San Francisco, CA. Educational Background

In the early years I studied painting and drawing with Moses Soyer and Robert Gwathmey.  Graduated from Bard College with BFA.  While working attended Cooper Union and School of Visual Arts at night.  My concentration on sculpture as my medium started after we moved to Westchester with Raymond Rockland, Anthony Padavono and at Silvermine Guild of Artists in New Canaan, Connecticut and bronze casting at SUNY Purchase, NY.
