Artist Statement
Hillary Sweeney is a performer/circus artist. She utilizes the circus as a novel, challenging, and creative platform from which the student can discover a positive sense of self. Her classes are uniquely accessible to both athletic and non-athletic students of all ages. With in depth instruction and strict safety practices, students are introduced to basic aerial technique, and other elements of the circus.
Educational Background
\"To be successful in the circus, you must be able to surrender to your dreams, face your fears, and believe in yourself no matter what the obstacle.\" With this in mind, Hilary Sweeney aims to demonstrate to her students that anything is possible and no goal is beyond their reach. She utilizes the circus as a novel, challenging, and creative platform from which the student can discover a positive sense of self. Her classes are uniquely accessible to both athletic and non-athletic students of all ages.
