My work exposes a unique underlying potential within a deeply private dialogue with a particular setting: in these series of works, I focused on life and objects in my immediate surroundings. My work appears more like exercises in picture-making than revelations about a place or thing. For me, painting is a physical and dynamic process that develops organically upon the surface of the canvas. My main concern has been a formal and intellectual approach to exploring color, form, shape, light, space, surface and texture.
