Artist Statement
Emily Phillips has been immersed in ceramics for over 30 years. She has worked with students in all age groups, including experience with learning-disabled students through the BOCES program. Past activities include tile-making, to encourage individual interests within a group project; making whistles, to explore and celebrate the history of other cultures, and using functional ceramics to teach the relationship of design and technique.
