Artist Statement

Ever since I was young, I have been creating folk art and decorative items. I’m especially attracted to colorful African and Latin American styles. For many years I have worked with seniors and school groups to help them create simple, yet dramatic, projects they can wear or display in their homes. You will be surprised at the beautiful things you’ll be able to make even if you’re not artistic or have no experience in crafts. You will take home something you can be proud of from each class. My own work has been sold at the Brooklyn Museum Gift Shop, the Neuberger Museum Gift Shop, Macy’s, and the Blue Door Gallery in Yonkers.
