David Lowe's Italian landscapes evoke the vistas that typify the Tuscan countryside outside of Siena the architecture of simple geometric forms, the low-lying distant hills, the pure light that delicately highlights every color. In portraying an expansive Tuscan countryside, the works seek to convey a pervading sense of quietude and peacefulness. David Lowe's works have been exhibited widely in the United States and Europe. They form part of the collections of the Butler Art Institute, the New York Public Library, Time-Warner, the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and many private collectors.
