Artist Statement

I have a particular fascination with taking forlorn and forgotten pieces of furniture and turning them into something that sparkles with color and personality. Chairs, tables and frames are transformed with paints and glazes and accented with a variety of found objects. The original piece bears no resemblance to its former self. My furniture pieces are one-of-a-kind, signed creations which stand alone as an artwork but are incorporated into the home because they are functional. Fantasy and whimsy are the elements I try to bring to each object in the hope that my creative fun comes through and brings a smile to the viewer. Locally, small works and mirrors can be seen right here in the new Arts Westchester permanent boutique. Furniture and mirrors are on display in SOL-LA on Garth Road in Scarsdale, NY.  If you are in the Boston area, my hand painted jewelry screen organizers can be seen at NOA Fine Handcrafts and Gifts, 88 Charles Street, Boston, MA and 86 Commonwealth Avenue, West Concord, MA.
