Artist Statement

I am a Westchester sculptor and my studio is surrounded by woods. My sculptures are linked to nature, to the sky, to light, to earth and water, to trees and plants, and ultimately to people. I work with modern materials, stainless steel and aluminum, as well as more traditional bronze, to create contemporary sculptures that are resistant to time and to weather. Outdoor sculptures in a country setting celebrate the freedom of direct communication with nature. Indoor pieces are more introspective, focusing more on my observations on the environment and the way we live. My sculptures are in private homes as well as corporate and commercial settings. In art collections in Westchester and Fairfield Counties, as well as Northern New Jersey, my work has been featured in solo exhibitions at the Bridge Gallery in White Plains, the Hudson River Museum, and the Howland Center in Beacon, New York.
