Every summer, the county comes alive with hundreds of outdoor concerts and performances. Use this “Music in the Air” destination guide to fill your summer with affordable ($20 or under – many are free!) outdoor arts events taking place in Westchester County throughout the summer. Residents and visitors can enjoy a wide variety of music – from rock to classical and everything in between – as well as movie screenings, family-friendly activities and theatrical performances. New York Opera Conservatory – Free Summer Concert Series – Croton-on-Hudson Library (July & August) | Taconic Opera summer program for emerging opera singers, New York Opera Conservatory (NYOC), offers you an opportunity to hear the upcoming generation of professional singers as they gain valuable experience perfecting their craft. Established in 2018, the NYOC helps to fill an unmet need among singers to gain valuable hands-on experience through actual performance. Each event in the series listed below will have a different cast, making every performance completely unique from all the others – an all-opera version of America’s Got Talent! Summer Breeze Series Summer time is a great opportunity to enjoy the nice weather and smooth sounds of jazz, rhythm and blues, reggae, salsa, merengue, rock, Italian music, etc. The Department of Recreation collaborates with various sponsors to host the Summer Breeze Series.

The Summer Breeze Series begins in mid-June and runs until mid-September each year.   There are local and national artist who perform primarily on Tuesday and Saturday evenings.  For more information contact the Recreation Department at 914-665-2420.
