NORTH SALEM, NY (FEBRUARY 15, 2017) The Schoolhouse Theater and Arts Center announces the world premiere of Stuart Warmflash’s MASK OF THE JAGUAR KING. The Mask of the Jaguar King opens April 6 and runs through April 23 at the Schoolhouse Theater and Arts Center in Croton Falls. Tickets: $ 38 Individuals and $ 35 Seniors. Set in the rain forests of Guatemala on a hot day in June, 1933. Sophia is a smart, strong-willed archeologist working fervently to unlock the mystery of an ancient Mayan Ruin. Quetzal is her silent, disturbing counterpart and has many mysteries of his own. Part battle of angels, part ghost story, part ritual dance, using indigenous and original sound landscapes with live musicians, the story is reminiscent of the “magical realism” of writers such as Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
