Marc Black Concert

NORTH SALEM, NY (FEBRUARY 14, 2017) The Schoolhouse Theater and Arts Center announces Hall of Fame Blues Artist Marc Black performs on Saturday, February 18th @ 8 pm at the Schoolhouse Theater and Arts Center in Croton Falls. Tickets are $ 20 Individuals and $ 18 Seniors.

The presentation features songs performed by Marc on guitar and vocal and an engaging slide show that will slide you right back in time.  The show considers the forces at play during this potent time in our history and how our changes were reflected in popular music, its rhythms, melodies and lyrics.  Folks who attend the show find themselves singing along from the beginning to the end of the show.

In the 1950’s and 60’s, popular music evolved from being an escape from reality to being a powerful communication about it.  In the presentation, Marc uses a wide range of popular songs including surprise favorites like Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, great rock tunes like Blue Suede Shoes and moving folk songs like Bob Dylan’s Blowin in the Wind.  This program is musical, thought provoking and Marc is a master at leaving the audience feeling good and humming their way back home!
