ArtsWestchester is pleased to present recent works by the finalists and this year’s winner of the 2021 Lawrence Salley Award for Photography. The award was established in 2018 by ArtsWestchester, the African American Men of Westchester and the Salley family to celebrate the life and artistic achievements of Lawrence “Larry” C. Salley, an active member of the Westchester community. Larry lived and worked in Westchester County (White Plains) where he assumed the leadership roles of Deputy Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Planning and Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Transportation. In his spare time, he was a gifted photographer. The award is presented each year at ArtsWestchester’s annual Arts Award. Past recipients include Ocean Morrissett (2018), David Rocco (2019) and Arnold Kastenbaum (2020).
