Pelham Art Center’s

Faculty and Student Showcase

Exhibition Dates: June 26 – August 7, 2015

Free Opening Reception and All-Age Art Workshop:

Friday, June 26, 6:30-8PM

Pelham Art Center is pleased to present its highly popular Faculty and Student Showcase on view June 26 – August 7, 2015. An opening reception will be held on Friday, June 26 from 6:30-8PM. This annual exhibition features new work in a variety of mediums by the Art Center’s distinguished teachers and enthusiastic students. Exhibited work ranges from charcoal to oils, black and white photographs to digital prints, and mixed media to ceramics. This exhibition provides a great opportunity to view and collect original art from emerging and established artists. During the opening, visitors and prospective students of all ages may participate in a free workshop held in the studio. In addition, the public is invited to meet the teaching artists to discuss course offerings and their work. This event is free and open to the public.

Since its founding in 1970, the Pelham Art Center faculty has grown as the Art Center has increased its course offerings to embrace new media while continuing to provide instruction in traditional techniques. From beginners to accomplished artists, students of all ages who want to explore their creative potential have flourished by working with Pelham Art Center’s teaching artists. More than 1,300 students, from two to ninety-plus years old, attended over 100 visual art classes and workshops offered at the Art Center this past year. These classes are taught by more than thirty art educators, many of whom are participating in this exhibition alongside their students.
