Writing Your Love Stories

A Google search on ‘writing your love stories’ turns up 198,000,000 hits in literally under one second. What makes a good, true love story? The setting and characters, the action and dialogue, the prose. And still more important is the narrative arc. Whether it be flash nonfiction, essay, short or long memoir, there needs to be a journey to the epiphany. We will examine the narrative arc in forms from flash nonfiction to a Modern Love essay and do a writing exercise, shaping a memory into a page of your love story.

Saturday, 8/01/2015, 12–4 p.m.
