Writing Off the Walls 2022: Creativity in the Age of CoVID

Studio Theater in Exile and Hudson Valley MOCA have been collaborating for 16 years on projects such as Writing the Walls when poets and playwrights would come  to the museum, be inspired by the amazing art and create. The poetry or plays are performed in front of the artwork or in the Black Box at the museum.

The threat of Co-VID19 interfered with our plans in 2020 so we asked the poets to record their work and we presented the work on line at www.HudsonValleyMOCA.org and www.StudioTheaterinExile.com

This year we have continued Writing the Walls as an  on-line presence since having a Poet’s Walk is still not possible. Poets were asked to choose artwork from an on-line exhibit, write their poems, and if accepted, record their work.

So, we present to you, with great pleasure, the 2021-22 Writing the Walls, inspired by the art in the How We Live II exhibition at the museum.

To see the exhibit in person, the museum will be opened Thursdays and Saturdays from 11-5. Masks and vaccination are required.
