Writing a Thriller (workshop series) with Beth Hahn


Beth Hahn is one of HVWC’s most popular instructors. She is an engaged, generous teacher and she has an incredible track record of helping students get their work published.

This class runs weekly on Tuesdays, from 6:30pm – 8:30pm, beginning on September 10 and ending on October 15. Tickets for this 6 week course are $320. Please register at

Beth Hahn is the author of the novel THE SINGING BONE (Regan Arts, 2016). Her work has been published in CRAFT Literary, Necessary Fiction, and the UK’s Platypus Press Shorts series. “A Girl Like You” (CRAFT, April 2018) is drawn from her new novel, A PERSON OF THE WORLD, and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

Beth attended the Ragdale Foundation, the Wellstone Center in the Redwoods, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and has an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. She teaches Writing, Revising, and Publishing Short Fiction at The Hudson Valley Writers’ Center in Sleepy Hollow, New York.

Beth is the daughter of the popular children’s author Mary Downing Hahn and the sister of the humor writer, Kate Hahn. Beth lives in Mount Kisco, New York, with her husband.

Beth Hahn’s fiction is represented by Jessica Papin of Dystel, Goderich, and Bourret.
