Writers of the Renaissance

The masterpieces of Dante, Petrarch, Boccaccio, and Machiavelli represent some of the greatest classics of Italian literature still read, and studied today.  They chose to write in the vernacular, forever changing literature and introducing their works to the masses. From Dante’s Divine Comedy, to Petrarch’s rediscovery of Cicero’s letters, Boccaccio’s  Decameron, and Machiavelli’s The Prince which is still read by today’s politicians. Take a new look at what these four writers left for us to enjoy.
