Write Your World

Celebrate spring by discovering and developing your writing self. Everyone has their own voice and their own stories to tell, whether the stories stem from imagination or memory.

This is your writing workshop if you:

  • always wanted to write but think you’re not a writer
  • are a writer and need encouragement/inspiration
  • are blocked or don’t know how to move forward
  • want to hone your craft
  • want to explore stories for personal memoir

Using the Amherst Writers and Artists method, Susan Wallach provides a safe and encouraging atmosphere to write, using prompts (evocative prose, poetry, photos, and props) to spark your creative voice. Explore and take risks in your writing. All you need is pen and paper. We write in the workshop.

Susan Wallach, an accredited leader of the Amherst Writers and Artists method, was an editor at Random House, and is a published author. Her other writing projects include ghostwriting for Holt Henry Books for Young Readers and Temple University Press.

This workshop meets on Monday mornings, starting on April 20, 2015 and running until June 1st, 2015. The sessions meet from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm at The Hudson Valley Writers’ Center in Sleepy Hollow. To sign up, please register by calling (914) 332-5953 or through the website: writerscenter.org/courses.
