Workshop for Nonprofit Organizations: Grants—How to Get Them and Then What?

When money is tight, when experiencing a budget gap, when launching a new program area or expanding ones audience base, we often think: “Why not get a grant?” Judith Margoli, an independent consultant, facilitator, workshop and webinar leader on foundations and grants, will provide the ins and outs of grant seeking, providing some very specific advice about how organizations can be successful at securing outside funding from foundations and corporations. Topics covered include: the various types of grants, what kinds of grants in which dollar amounts work best for different types of funders, and alternatives to cash grants. How to determine where grants fit in an overall funding scheme, and what to do when your organization actually receives a grant to ensure it is well positioned for the next grant are also addressed. Ossie Davis Theater. Free but registration is encouraged: call (914) 813-3706 or email communityrelations@nrpl.org.
