Wild/Tame: A Talk and Reading with Artist in Residence Michael Caines

Michael Caines will be discussing the historical, political, religious, pop-culture and childhood themes in his 30 years of art making. The main childhood themes will be in the realm of addiction, mental health, and childhood trauma. Throughout this discussion the audience is also welcomed to participate in giving feedback and sharing stories of their own.

While in residence at Bethany, Michael will work on an illustrated book themed around a child’s-eye view of growing up with a parent suffering from mental illness or addiction.
